My boat and I

Hello, my name is Célia, I have been rowing for 7 years now (wow that is longer than I realized) and here is a bit about my long journey. 

I was 11 when I went with my mom for the first time to the rowing club. I felt at home there, training, competing, being on the water early in the morning. My love for the sport was born.

For the past 4 years I practice rowing every day with the intent of always going further in my sport, which led me to win the Swiss championships twice in a row, while setting new records for the French speaking part of Switzerland.

In 2018, I joined the Junior Swiss Rowing Team. 
 After months of arduous training, my team and I become European vice-champions in May, World champions in August and then in October we go on to win the Redbull XRow.

This year I am not a junior anymore. I am going into a whole new level of competition! For that I will need better equipment, I will be traveling more and training harder. 
My biggest dream is to one day go to the Olympics, but first to rock as an under 23! 

To "rock", I want to compete at the U23 World Championships in Bled Slovenia this August. In order to do so, I have to have the right equipment. 

This year I will be investing in a new boat and a pair of oars. The boat costs 15000 CHF and the and oars about 1000 CHF.
