Support off the pitch leads to real medals. Three teams recently wrapped up their campaigns on I Believe In You, put the money straight into competition and delivered on the international stage. Beach soccer, floorball and ice hockey show impressively how direct support on our platform turns into top sporting performance.
BSC 54 are Champions League winners
Last year, the beach soccer club from Aargau had to pull out for financial reasons. For this summer’s tournament in Nazaré, however, things were going to be different. More than CHF 13,000 was raised, and nothing stood in the way of the trip to the Euro Winners Cup anymore.
The Euro Winners Cup is the biggest club tournament in European beach soccer, essentially the Champions League on sand. And on the sand of Portugal, the reigning Swiss champions and cup winners left every European rival behind. BSC 54 put on a dominant show and sensationally crowned themselves Champions League winners. A huge milestone for the team and for the entire Swiss beach soccer scene.

Overfunding as the key: silver for the women’s floorball team
At the World Floorball Championship in Spain, our national team claimed a superb second place. What makes this story special is the power of the community. The original target of CHF 6,000 was clearly exceeded, with an outstanding CHF 8,405 raised.
It was exactly this overfunding that made a decisive difference at the tournament. Thanks to the extra money, team physiotherapist Miriam was able to travel to Spain and look after the players professionally throughout the gruelling days of the World Championship. That support from the sidelines was quite literally worth silver.

A platform doesn’t just raise money, it makes performance possible. When a physiotherapist is able to travel to the tournament in the end, you see what support really means.

Third place for the Swiss Select Girls in the Czech Republic
Seventeen young players from all over Switzerland travelled to the GWHL tournament in Pilsen in the Czech Republic. The foundation for this adventure was a successful project that raised over CHF 24,000. The money covered the high costs of accommodation, meals and ice time.
On the ice, the young talents repaid that trust impressively. The newly formed ice hockey team took on strong international opponents and, with plenty of passion, battled their way to an excellent third place. Along with a spot on the podium, the girls are bringing home invaluable international match experience.

Frequently asked questions
How does crowdfunding work for a sports team?
A team creates a project on I Believe In You with a goal, a story and rewards. The community supports it online, and at the end of the campaign the money raised goes to the project. The earlier a community is mobilised, the greater the impact.
What happens if a project is overfunded?
If the target is exceeded, the extra money is fully available to the team. Just like with the women’s floorball team, whose total rose from CHF 6,000 to CHF 8,405 and made it possible for the team physiotherapist to travel to the World Championship.
How much does crowdfunding on I Believe In You cost?
