Hallo zusammen, wir sind Selina Meier und Michael Peier, die Leiter und Choreografen der Rock da Sh*t Crew. Wir sind die diesjährigen Gewinner vom WORLD OF DANCE. Unser nächstes Ziel ist nun das Weltfinale in Los Angeles!

Unsere Reise hat vor über 15 Jahren begonnen, als wir beide den Weg ins Tanzen gefunden haben. Zahlreiche Stunden im Tanzstudio, an Workshops und Camps haben uns soweitaufgebaut, dass wir eine Tanzgruppe aufbauen wollten. Dies haben wir dann auch getan. Im Jahr 2015 starteten wir mit dem Projekt "Rock da Sh*t Crew". Seit dem Zeitpunkt begannen wir junge talentierte Tänzer*innen zu fördern, um an Wettkämpfen und Shows aufzutreten. Wir hatten schon immer die Intention uns nicht nur national, sondern auch international zu zeigen. Mitte letztes Jahr haben wir das Projekt vergrössert und freischaffende Tänzer*innen aus der gesamten Schweiz angefragt. Inzwischen besteht die Gruppe aus 12 individuellen Tänzer*innen und Choreograf*innen aus der gesamten Schweiz, mit dem Ziel uns gegenseitig zu fördern und miteinander zu wachsen.

Mit den ausgewählten Mitgliedern haben wir eine Show kreiert und uns aufs WORLD OF DANCE vorbereitet. Dies ist ein Wettbewerb, der in verschiedensten Ländern stattfindet, wie zum Beispiel auch in Deutschland, so wie Frankreich, Polen, Italien oder Amerika. Im Dezember 2022 fand das WORLD OF DANCE SWITZERLAND statt und wir konnten uns gegen 27 angemeldete Gruppen durchsetzen und den 1. Platz gewinnen. Uns fehlten die Worte. Die harte Arbeit und all das, was wir uns all die Jahre aufgebaut haben, zahlte sich an diesem Event aus. Mit diesem Gewinn haben wir uns für das WORLD OF DANCE FINAL in Los Angeles qualifiziert, dort treffen die besten Crews aller Länder aufeinander.

Trotz unseren Workshops und den wöchentlichen Classes, wie auch unserem erspartem Geld können wir uns diese Reise nicht selber finanzieren. Um die ganze REISE, UNTERKUNFT und TEILNAHMEKOSTEN für die Gruppe zu bezahlen sind wir auf eure Hilfe angewiesen. Die Spendenaktion von 20’000.- beinhalten alle Kosten, die uns dafür fehlen. Wir sind um euren Beitrag zu unserem Crowdfunding angewiesen, um unseren Traum diesen Sommer zu verwirklichen und mit der gesamten Gruppe nach Los Angeles zu reisen.

Hey guys, we are Selina Meier and Michael Peier, the founders and choreographers of Rock Da Sh*t Crew.

We are this years winner of World Of Dance Switzerland and are therefore invited for the world final in Los Angeles this August, which will be our next destination!

Our journey has started over 15 years ago, when both of us discovered dance. After spending hours on hours training in the studio and attending numerous camps and workshops, we felt ready to start our own dance crew. The project "Rock Da Sh*t Crew" had its start in 2017 and has been a beautiful ride ever since. It's been our goal to support and encourage young dancers to work on themselves / their craft and to let them present their work at competitions and shows all year.

Our intention has always been to not just gain attention and acclaim nationally, but also internationally. In 2022, we decided to extend our vision and started approaching multiple professionally-working dancers, asking them to join our crew and the mission thereof. Meanwhile the group consists of twelve individual dancers and choreographers assembled from everywhere in Switzerland, with the goal to grow alongside each other and push the crew to new heights.

In collaboration with all the members we have created a show and prepared ourselves for World Of Dance 2022. The competition takes place in many countries of the world, for example Germany, France, Poland, Italy or the USA. In December 2022, we attended the Swiss edition and won 1st place against 27 other amazing crews which proved to us that anything is possible and hard work pays off. To add to the success that left us speechless, we then were invited to attend the finals in Los Angeles, held in August 2023, where the winners of each country compete against each other.

The trip to Los Angeles, as well as the expenses that come with it unfortunately require a high amount of funds we can't come up with as a crew. Traveling, accommodation as well as the fee to attend the event will cost us roughly 20’000 CHF, which is a sum we cannot carry on our shoulders alone. We therefore need your help to make this dream of ours become reality. We're counting on your support of our Crowdfunding and would be immensely grateful to receive it.
