I got great news today that CrossFit received approval from the US department of Homeland Security for National Interest Exception travel waivers for CrossFit Games athletes and their authorized support person to travel to Madison in July!

Now I can focus on my training instead of figuring out ways for me and Kristjan to get into the States.

I am overwhelmed by your support.

The total cost for the trip will be much more than 5'000 CHF and I just want you to know that you can still support me for my trip to The CrossFit Games.

I just qualified for my 6th trip to the CrossFit Games by placing 5th at the Europe CrossFit Semifinals event, Lowlands Throwdown.

After a disappointing 2020 I am happy to feel that all my hard work has paid off. The CrossFit Games are held in Madison, Wisconsin, US. They start on Thursday the 29th of July and end on Sunday the 1st of August. 

For me and a coach the trip will be around 6000 CHF, flights are 2800 CHF, Hotel 2000 CHF and a rental car around 1200 CHF. 

In 2019 I had my best performance (9th place) since I started CrossFit in 2011. This year I will go into the competition with the same mindset as last time, I want to do MY best and think about one workout at a time. That way I know I will be happy if I know I was able to to MY very best.

Since the United States are closed at the moment, there is some chance that I will not get into the country. I am training as hard as I can with the mindset that it will open up, also the CrossFit HeadQuarters are working on getting all the international athletes a special athlete visa.

I just want to let you know that if I don't get there in time you will get your money right back. 

Plan B is to go to a country where I will stay for 14 days before going to the US so I can get into the country, so I might be going somewhere like Mexico or Dubai in the next "few" days and prepare for the Games.
